Colton Pony Baseball League is a non-profit organization serving ages 4-18 since 1958. The League exists to inspire and promote the youth of our community to practice ideals of physical health, teamwork, self-reliance, citizenship, and character. Also to bring our youth together with common interest of sportsmanship, fair play and fellowship.
In addition,Colton Pony Baseball/Softball league can also help a youngster become identified, to find a place among his/her peers and others within the community. The miracles of modern civilization have created additional time for young people as well as adults. Additional leisure time should mean more hours to spend with our young people, not time away from them.
Colton Pony Baseball/Softball League can involve the entire family as players, managers, coaches, team parents, league officials, or as a volunteer in concession stands, field and equipment maintenance, fundraising and many other tasks necessary to a successful league operations. The involvement of the entire family in such effort can become a treasured family experience.
Our program most certainly does not provide the complete education and is not the panacea for all of the problems young people must deal with, but it is a tool, a medium whose effectiveness in the development of youth has been proven.
If we want better citizens to make a better world, then we have to begin where better citizens are made, with young people.
